The Climate-Resilient Infrastructure Officer Certification refers to climate-resilient infrastructure in two ways: (1) resilient infrastructure (or resilience of infrastructure), which is infrastructure that anticipates, prepares for and adapts to climate change; and (2) infrastructure for resilience (or resilience through infrastructure), which is infrastructure that increases the resilience of a community by reducing impacts of climate hazards or increasing adaptative capacity.
