NCSC CyberFirst Adventurers

Course level: Awareness

Adventurers is the second course on the CyberFirst learner journey and is designed for students who are in year 9. The course aims to encourage students aged 12-13 to study computer science and promote career opportunities that will benefit from cyber security, computer and technology skills. The course consists of 3 modules covering different subject areas where technology is used including one module which involves teamwork.

The course is delivered virtually using Webex and the Learn On demand labs platform. The content is formed of presentations to all students and lab exercises where the introduction session and wrap up will be conducted with all students present. The students will work individually to complete the labs for modules 1 and 2, then teams will be created to complete the final lab (Crack the Code). The students will complete each of the modules with one being completed on the first half-day and two on the second half-day.
