APMP Micro-Certification

I pursued the certification to initially re-invest in myself professionally. My initial CF APMP certification helped me leverage and hone my proposal development skills as well as supplement my background in graphic design. The micro-certification in Graphics investment was also to test my current skillset, build my confidence, and to expand my knowledge in developing proposal graphics

The Executive Summaries Micro-Certification demonstrates my personal commitment to write compelling executive summaries. Even after achieving this certification, the study material serves as a great tool in assisting with the implementation of win strategy and executive summary kick-off meetings.

I’m a writer, not a graphic designer, but I get asked for input on graphics a lot. Over the years, I pieced together my own best practices around graphics in proposals – taking a hint from here, a tip from there, and winging it when I needed to. That’s why I took advantage of the opportunity to earn APMP’s graphics micro-certification. It helped a non-designer like me integrate solid, established practices around the use of graphics in proposals.

I think the certification is a great way to prove knowledge in my profession and also be able to clearly articulate best practices. I also try to stay ahead of my team so I can guide them on their professional development.

I wanted to expand my knowledge in commercials. Over the years I’ve done very many pricing exercises. My motivation was to test my experience against the APMP standard and bolster my technique to play forward into future bids.

In Federal services competitive proposals, pricing is always very competitive. This micro-certification will help me better analyze our pricing and PTW competitiveness for deals of all sizes.
