Dominic Ashley-Timms
Dominic Ashley-Timms is the CEO of Notion, a performance improvement consultancy established in 2000. A graduate Ergonomist, Dominic’s career spanned retail operations and management consultancy (specialising in the human side of the change) before he undertook an EMBA at IMD. It was here he was inspired to establish Notion to support organisations undertaking significant change. Notion has since grown to deliver large-scale change and performance improvement programmes that deliver measurable returns on investment measured in the millions. Delivered through an exciting and patented approach to changing management and leadership behaviour, Notion’s work has attracted the interest of the UK Government.

Dominic is the creator of the STAR® model that underpins Notion’s multi-award-winning STAR® Manager programme, and he has recently co-authored a best-selling book called The Answer is a Question - The Missing Superpower that Changes Everything and will Transform Your Impact as a Manager and Leader. Between him and co-author of the book, Laura, they have built a successful company that has won a string of awards for innovation and learning design.
Personnel Today magazine recognised their work with leading FTSE and Fortune 500 clients with the award of the industry’s prestigious Learning & Development Supplier of the Year.
Proudest achievement
STAR® Manager was one of only six proposals for academic research funding to be selected from 189 received by the Government. In the world’s largest trial, LSE proved that STAR® positively improves management behaviours and skills.
